I&B monitoring pricing is based on the size of your IT landscape, not on feature tiers. Every plan, from the free 14-day trial to the largest subscription, includes the full functionality of the platform for monitoring infrastructure, applications and business services. You pay only for the scale of what you monitor. I&B monitoring is available both as a SaaS platform and as an on-premises installation.

Every subscription includes

  • Single Sign-On (SSO) with identity providers.

  • Up to 2,000 metrics from one resource.

How Subscription Pricing Is Calculated

The subscription price depends on how many of the following objects are included in your plan. I&B monitoring organizes monitoring the way your business is structured, from the business level down to individual servers. This shows how the state of your infrastructure affects the services your business depends on.

  • Business: a logical grouping of business units and services.

  • Business unit: an organizational division within a business.

  • Subunit: a distinct part of a business unit, typically focused on a specific function.

  • Service: an IT service is a set of related functions provided by IT to support business processes, deliver value to users and enable desired business outcomes.

  • Layer: a logical level within an IT system architecture with its own specific functions, such as presentation, application logic, data management or infrastructure. Examples include operating systems, databases and applications.

  • Resource: a physical or virtual server, or a network node.

The examples below assume a monthly billing cycle, 30-day metrics retention, and logs and traces turned off.

Trial — Free for 14 days: 1 business, 2 business units, 4 subunits, 2 services, 4 layers, 10 resources.

Level 1 — $89/month: 1 business, 2 business units, 4 subunits, 2 services, 4 layers, 10 resources.
Level 2 — $450/month: 1 business, 2 business units, 5 subunits, 2 services, 5 layers, 30 resources.
Level 3 — $999/month: 1 business, 3 business units, 10 subunits, 3 services, 10 layers, 60 resources.
Level 4 — $1,998/month: 2 businesses, 5 business units, 15 subunits, 5 services, 15 layers, 125 resources.

Metrics Data Retention Assumptions

Retention periods in our plans assume that, on average, metrics are collected from two layers of each resource. For example, a database running on a virtual server has two layers: the operating system is the first, and the database is the second.

 

The actual number of metrics collected from a layer depends on many factors. For Linux, it depends on the number of network cards, processor cores and mounted devices. For PostgreSQL, it depends on the number of managed databases. Our estimate is up to 1,000 metrics per layer, or up to 2,000 metrics per resource. As a result, the actual data retention period may differ from the retention period specified in your subscription plan.

Is the number of users limited?
No. Every plan includes unlimited users.

Can I&B monitoring be deployed on-premises?
